Yesterday went I was waiting my granny to check her health, I bring a novel. Actually it's a novel which increase our spirit especially our believe. I read "Ketika Cinta Bertasbih" by Habiburachman El Shirazy. The book told about young man called Khairul Azzam but he usually called by his friend with Azzam or Irul or Abdullah. He is studying at Al Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. His father was died when he was in first grade at university. After his father was passed away, he didn't return to Indonesia but he worked in Egypt. He works as a cooker and he sold some TEMPE and meat balls. Everyday, he made those things and distribute to his customer in Egypt. He knew that he can't wait with his mother's money because he had 3 sisters which need more money than him. He never ashame with his job as long as it's right.
One day, when he had some order from Mr Ambassador's daughter whose called with Eliana, he met with Mr Ali. Mr Ali knew that Azzam like with Eliana but he was ashame to confess with her. So, Mr Ali talked to him if he want to find a wife he must listen with Mr Ali's said first before he decide to make a relation with Eliana. When Mr Ali still young, he ever married with a famous girl. But his marriage was not longer because when they lived in London, his wife have luxurious lifestyle which need a lot of money. Actually, Mr Ali's family not a poor family but because of his wife lifestyle was glamorous, soon or later his family's money was lost. His family was dumped him. But he more down he saw that his every night worked at night club as a bad woman. Every night, she was drop with different man. Then, he was not strong enough with that condition. So, he divorce with his wife.
After he divorce, he went back to Indonesia. He started again from the beginning. Until he found with a great ulema. He stayed in his teacher's house without paying anything. Day by day, he learned about Islam until he got renascence. Some day Mr Ali's teacher told to him, if he want married?. Mr Ali's said that he want married again if his future wife must be religious too. He doesn't want do the same fault again. The teacher's said that a woman is religious but she was a widow with two children. Mr Ali's said never mind as long as he afraid with Allah SWT and respect him.
This novel also said about struggle of Azzam, friendship, love, spiritual spirit, and many more. This novel was happy ending which is Azzam can be married with Anna. The woman that he saw when he return from buying some things and the woman that he loved very much but can't be his wife because his friend has already said to her. Some of the part of this novel makes me cried because it's very touching. This novel is going to be a film. Now, the crew and the author need a research in Cairo.
This book is contains with two chapters. In each chapters was told different place and situations. In chapter one said about the struggle of Azzam to face the world after his father passed away and also talked about Furqan( Azzam's friend whose already told to Anna's family to marry her) and other character such as Fadhil, Tiara, Cut Mala,etc. In chapter two, there are more interesting than chapter one. More conflict between Furqan and Anna, Azzam with his problems after he can't get Anna to find a wife, the family of Azzam, Zumrah's problems, etc.
I finished this book only in one day:). I like reading. That's why I wearing a glasses. Because if I was read a book, I was lay down in the bed. It was nice position. I read this book until 02.30 a.m when my husband already asleep. I don't like to wait the end of this book. It was suffering me:). It is an interesting books.
Today, my mother receive an invitation from our family where lived in Semarang. She is 72 years old but looks young. The party started at 10.00 a.m. but we came late because we must take money and some ice cream at Lind's. When we arrived, the guest still there. We're looking for the owner first to say Happy Birthday. Actually the party was held because the owner was born in this month. Beside that, my mother, my sister and my uncle was born in April too. The food that served at the party are delicious and most of all making by themselves. The food are meat balls, fruit salad, cocktails, fish, lasagna, etc. The party attended by the friend's of the owner. The owner said that she made some bags for bringing mukena and the little carpets which use for pray. She made those bags by her selves. She is an active woman, she likes with traveling, creative, good at cooking. My father asked her to give my mother lesson's for cooking. My mother only laughing when she heard my father's said like that.
